PERANCANGAN JARINGAN DISKLESS BERBASIS LTSP ( LINUX TERMINAL SERVER PROJECT ) DI SMKN 2 PARIAMAN

Abstrak

This research aims to design a diskless network, so that old computers with low specifications can run the latest applications just like computer with advanced specifications. Some of the problems that often arise when practical activities in the computer laboratory, especially in the computer laboratory of SMKN 2 Pariaman which there are few computers that are still classified as kind of old computers with low specifications which have damage such as damage to the operating system, memory, storage media ( harddisk ). To overcome this problems can be implemented diskless network system design.This diskless network design using LTSP( Linux Terminal Server Project ) as a diskless network design applications. The research process is done by searching for information by observation and interview. Diskless network design method includes definition stage, design stage, and the verification stage. The final results of this diskless computer network design is : with the implementation of diskless network system, now the client computer in the computer laboratory at SMKN 2 Pariaman with low specification can run the latest applications smoothly.
