Abstrak

This research aims to determine differences in students learning outcomes IPA of students on  cognitiveaspectsthat using inquiry methods with method of problem solving in class VII SMPN 1 AmpekNagari, knowing affective and psychomotor aspects of class VII student at SMPN 1 AmpekNagari. This type of research is experimental research design Randomized Control Group Posttest-Only Design. The population in this study were all students of class VII SMPN 1 AmpekNagari which totaled 85 at the Academic Year 2015/2016. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the learning outcomes by implementing  learning methods inquiry better than learning methods of problem solving, the results of data analysis states that there are differences in learning outcomes IPA which uses method ofinqury with the method of problem solving in graders VII SMPN 1 AmpekNagari. IPA learning outcomes in grade students experiment I by 79.76 where as learning outcomes IPA in grade students experiment II by 70,71. Affective appraisal experimental class I by 88,06% and experimental class II by 85,28%. Psychomotor appraisal experimental class I by 85,41% and experimental class II 85,01%.
