Teaching Vocabulary By Using Alphabet For Junior High School

Abstract

            The purpose of writing this paper is to discuss about teaching vocabulary by using alphabet for students of junior high school. As we know that English is not easy thing while we need that skill for communication better and fluently such as collecting the word by word and memorizing the vocabularies. When the students face several problems how to memorize and develop vocabularies in learning and mastery English, absolutely the teacher should teach students about building vocabulary by using alphabet. It is one of the best alternative solutions in teaching vocabulary for students of junior high school. The use of alphabet is an effective technique to teach vocabulary for learners because it can make the learners easier learn vocabulary andstudents get more spiritful, enjoy and motivation. This technique is a simple technique and complete. There are three procedures or steps how to teach vocabulary by using alphabet. They are pre-teaching, whilst-teaching and post-teaching. From the explanation above, we can conclude that the technique can improve the student’s motivation and concentration in teaching vocabulary. The teacher applies alphabet technique to present the material to the learners attractively.
