Abstrak

Ease in obtaining access to information services into one option for each user communication device. Augmented reality is a technology in the field of interaction that combines the virtual world and the real world. Aumented reality unlike virtual reality whatsoever is fully replace the real world, but it just adds and complements. In this study, researchers used teknlogi augmented reality to replace the usual method in promoting the school. Augmented reality technology to promote school and junior high school students to find out information about the school and are interested in attending vocational schools (SMK) will be the augmented reality technology. Manufacture augemented reality using Unity 3D software. Research using waterfall method which consists of systems analysis, design, coding and testing. Augmented reality will be displayed a few 3D objects school and a video. Subject application testing consists of a validator and to test the effectiveness of the application is very interesting for the media campaign conducted 25 school students of class IX Junior High School (SMP) 2 cities Tanjungbalai, then questionnaire data processed by manual methods. The results in this study is an application based on Android that can be used to provide information about the school and the shape of the location of the school at SMK 4 Tanjungbalai North Sumatara valid by the validator, and has also been declared effective sebangai media promotion of alternative media promotion of regular students in terms of appearance and use of applications with a value of 81%.
