BENTUK DAN PENGGUNAAN KATA SAPAAN KEKERABATAN DI JORONG KOTO PADANG LAWEH KECAMATAN KOTO VII KABUPATEN SIJUNJUNG

Abstrak

This study was aimed to describe the shape and the use of the greetings in Jorong Koto Padang Laweh Kecamatan Koto VII Kabupaten Sijunjung. Aspects that were studied: the core of greetings kinship and greetings kinship extended. The theory that researcher used was the theory of greetings that proposed by Syafyahya (2000). This research was a qualitative study using descriptive method, while the object of study is the public in Jorong Koto Padang Laweh Kecamatan Koto VII Kabupaten Sijunjung. The number of informants in this study were nine people consisting of four men and five women. The results showed that there was a fifty-five greetings kinship in Jorong Koto Padang Laweh Kecamatan Koto VII Kabupaten Sijunjung, including: greetings kinship core, namely: papa, bapak, andek, mama, mamak, onga, kak tuo, uda, ociek, uni, uwuo,waang, kau, dan sobuik namo, greetings kinship that expanded, namely: gayiek kukuoh, gaek kukuoh, kukuoh, niniok kukuoh, gayiek, niniok, pak ngah, pak tuo, bapak, pak etek, mak tuo, ande tuo, nenga, etek, pak su, pak onga, pak ciok, oncu, mak ciok, mak nga, mamak, mak tuo, ande tuo, mak wo, onga, mak nek, oncu nek, ncudang, papa, amai, mama, uda, uni, kak tuo, pak tonga, anda, uwuo, ociok, kakak, abang, dan sobuik namo. The greetings kinship in Jorong Koto Padang Laweh Kecamatan Koto VII Kabupaten Sijunjung did not too change, it was caused by less customs and traditions of Jorong Koto Padang Lawehs society. Based on these results, we can conclude that Jorong Koto Padang Laweh Kecamatan Koto VII Kabupaten Sijunjung has variation in greetings, especially in expended words greeting. This was caused by the less of the customs and traditions of Jorong Koto Padang Lawehs society. This tradition is associated with the culture that they keep, which accepts changes that come from the western country and still keep ther mother and tongue their neighbourhood.
