Abstrak

Results of XI grade students of SMAN 13 Padang is still much below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM), is due to the ability level of the students looked less active in expressing opinions, suggestions or questions. Therefore, one method of learning Demonstrations can be used to overcome these problems. This study aims to determine the results of student learning using teaching methods Demonstration better than the results of student learning using conventional methods in a class XI student of SMAN 13 Padang. The hypothesis of this study is the student learning outcomes are taught using demonstration method is better than learning outcomes of students taught using conventional methods in a class XI student of SMAN 13 Padang. Type of research is experimental research. Population in this research is all class XI IPS SMAN 13 Padang 2015/2016 school year consisting of three classes are homogeneous. Sampling random sampling because the three conditions ranging from normal distributed population and bervariansi homogeneous and has an average similarity are met then the chosen XI IPS2 as experimental class and class XI IPS 1 as the control class. Based on data from ICT learning outcomes of students at grade samples, hypothesis testing is done by testing the average difference in the level of α = 0.05. From the calculation results obtained t_hitung = 15.39dan t_tabel = 2.01. Because t_hitung> t_tabel then the hypothesis is accepted. It can be concluded that the learning outcomes of students are learning to apply ICT learning models better demonstration of ICT learning outcomes of students who apply regular learning. Based on these results the researchers suggest that teachers can apply ICT learning method in a demonstration of ICT as one of the efforts to make learning to become more active and can make student learning outcomes for the better.
