Abstract
The application of the active teaching learning by using “Answer Game” in the Math subject to the VII grade students at SMPN 9 Pariaman. The low result of the VII grade students at SMPN 9 Pariaman in learning Mathematics was caused by several factors they were, the implementation of learning was mainly focused on the teacher, there were several students who have lack of motivation and feel bored to study. When the teacher asked about the difficulty of the lesson which has been taught before, only students who sit at the front would asking some question and gave some opinions. As the result, the material of the learning can not be understood properly. To solve this problem, one of the solution is to apply the type of active teaching learning by using answer game to the VII grade students at SMPN 9 Pariaman.Based on the evealuation of the students to the both sample, it was tested the hipotesis by using uji-t to the level and as the result , = 1,68 because so accepted Ho and decline H1 which was the result on study Math by using active teaching learning with answer game was better than using conventional learning to the VII grade students at SMPN 9 Pariaman
