Abstrak

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of activity and student learning outcomes in learning science, the study was conducted in class III. The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in activity and student learning outcomes by using demonstrations in class III SDN 08 Ulakan Tapakis Padang Pariaman district. This research is a classroom action research that consists of two cycles each cycle consisting of two meetings. The location of this research is in SDN 08 Ulakan Tapakis. The subjects were students of class III, which amounted to 16 people. The instrument of this study was the observation of student activity sheets, activity sheets teachers, and students' final exam sheet. Results obtained an average percentage of students learning activity as a whole in the first cycle of 62.5% in the second cycle menigkat be 79.17%. Cycle I and II, an increase of 16.42%. In the teacher activity average percentage of overall activity, 72.92% in the first cycle, the second cycle experienced peningatan on the second cycle of 87.5%. cycle I and II increased by 15.3%. From the results of students in the first cycle as a whole 63.75% to 50% the percentage of completeness and the second cycle increased to 84.06%, with a percentage of 81.25% completeness between cycles I and II pengalami an increase of 20.62% with a limit minimum completeness criteria 75. Based on data from this study can be concluded that the activities and results of the third grade students experienced increases every cycle, this means that research conducted on learning science by methods demonstration in kels III SDN 08 Ulakan Tapakis succeed.
