ABSTRACT

 

Pursuant to researcher interview and observationinSDN 28 Air Tawar Timur Padang Utara that lack of motivation and lower him result of learning class student of IVatstudy of IPS. Target of this researchismendeskripsikan ofis make-up of result and motivation learn studentatstudy of IPS with Strategy of Information Searchinclass of IV. this Type ResearchisResearch Of Action Class (PTK) executed in two cycle. Subjek research of class student of IV counted 34 people. Research instrument the usedisobservation sheet activity of teacher, observation sheet motivate student, observation sheet assessment of student affektive, student enquette sheet, and tes result of learning student. Pursuant to motivation sheet analysis learn student in working along at the (time) of discusingatcycle of I obtainedbymean of klasikal 52,94%, mountingatcycle of II become 80,88%, motivation learn student in replying questionatcycle of I equal to 52,93%, mountingatcycle of II become 83,82%, complete percentage learn studentatcycle of I equal to 38,29% mountingatcycle of II equal to 85,29%, and complete percentageofstudent affektive atability of attention and discipline (Student A2)atcycle of I equal to 26,46% mountingatcycle of II equal to 85,32%. Becoming, study of IPS by using Strategy of Information Search can improve result and motivation learn student. From result of research, suggested thatbyteacher can use Strategy of Information Search to increase motivate and result of learning studentatstudy of IPS.
