Abstrak

Abstract

The low result of student mathematics learning in VIII grade of SMPN 29 Padang, caused by several factor such as the teachers role is  more dominant than student, students are not accustimed to express their opinions and ask in learning. To solve this problemthe authors conducted the study with the application of CORE learning model in mathematics. The purpose of this research is to improve student’s mathematics learning outcomes by implementing CORE learning model. This type of research is experimental.The study population was all students of class VIII SMPN 29 Padang year2014/2015 academic consisting of seven classes. The selectedsampleisVIII.7classthatisasexperimental classandVIII.6 itisacontrolledclass. The result obtained
by tends to increase student learning outcomes. It means that the learning outcomes of students studyingapplying mathematics learning model core is better than
the result of applying mathematics student learning.
