Abstrak

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of listening skills  Indonesia language V grade students of SDN 08 Beringin kecamatan Koto Tangah Kota Padang, especially in listening learning Indonesian. The purpose of this study was to improve listening skills by using audio-visual for V grade students of SDN 08 Beringin Kecamatan  Koto Tangah Kota Padang. Theory used is the theory of learning listening skills expressed by Taringan and audio-visual presented by Azhar arsyad. This research is a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles and each cycle conducted 2 meetings and 1 test results.  Based on the results of research conducted in mind that the observation skills of listening to students in the I cycle obtained by the average percentage of the material being taught according 67.70% and listening skills of students in the II cycle obtained by the average percentage of a suitable material taught 87.5%. the test results of students in the first cycle with an average value of 7,2 and the second cycle with an average value of 8,75. Based on research results, it can be concluded that the listening skills of students is increasing as well at SDN 08 Beringin Kecamatan Koto Tangah  Kota Padang by using the audio-visual
