NILAI-NILAI MORAL DALAM NOVEL “PULANG” KARYA TERE LIYE

Abstrak

The aim of this study is to describe the moral values found in a novel with the title “Pulang” written by Tere Liye which is consisted of conscience, freedom and responsibility, value and norm, also right and obligation. The theories used were K. Bertens (2011) about Ethics, Ahadiat (2007) about Literary Theory and Appreciation and Widjojoko and Endang Hidayat (2006) about Theory and Literary History of Indonesia. The type of this study was qualitative research by using descriptive method. The object of this study was “Pulang” novel, a novel written by Tere Liye. Based on the data analysis, it is found that:  Moral values found in a novel with the titile “Pulang” written by Tere Liye; conscience, freedom and responsibility, value and norm, right and obligation. There were  52 moral values found which constitued of 15 data for conscience, 19 data for freedom and responsibility which divided into 12 data belonged to freedom and 7 data belonged to responsibility, 11 data found as value and norm which constisted of 9 data for value and 2 data for norm, and it was found 7 data towards right and obligation which constitued of 3 data for right and 4 data for obligation. Based on the finding, it can be concluded that there were many phenomenon of moral value found in a novel with the title “Pulang” written by Tere Liye, which consisted of 4 aspects: conscience, freedom and responsibility, value and norm, and right and obligation.
