The learning process at SMPN 13 Padang was seen that students are less active to give question, the lack of students’ ability to express ideas correctly to solve problems are still lacking. For overcoming this problem, an effort that can be done is to implement the active learning strategy. The active learning strategy that can be used is The Power of Two types. The purpose of this study was to know the development of the students’ activity and determine the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics applying. The students’ activities used active Learning Strategies higher than the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics applying the usual learning in class VIII SMPN 13 Padang. Based on the results of data analysis, activities and result of student learning can be concluded that there are enough student activity that occurs during learning activities and proportion students who achieve mastery learning mathematics applying active learning strategies types The Power of Two is higher than the proportion of students who achieve mastery learning mathematics applying ordinary learning in class VIII SMPN 13 Padang.
