PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS DAN KETERAMPILAN BERBICARA SISWA KELAS VIII.7 DI SMP NEGERI 15 PADANG DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STUDENT TEAMS ACHIEVEMENT DIVISIONS (STAD)
Abstrak
The purpose of research was described increasing in learningactivity and speaking skills of student of class VIII.7 at SMPNegeri 15 Padangbyusing cooperative learning model with Student Teams AchievementDivisions (STAD). Type the theory used are about learning activities withby Kunandar (2011), speaking skills by Arif and Munaf (2003), and cooperative learning model Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD), typeby Slavin (2009). Theresearch wasclass room action researchconducted withtwo cycles. Each cycle done two meetings. The subject research was students class VIII.7 at SMP Negeri 15Padang. The results research was showed in several aspect.The first, in activities could be increased 77,5% in cycle I become 81% in cycle II (up 3,5%). It could be explained (a) asking and opinion activity was increased from 65% in cycle I become 72,5% in cycle II (up 7,5%), (b) activity of listening teachers had been maximum until 100% in cycle I and cycle II, (c) perceptive skill was increased from 70% in cycle I become cycle II 80% (up 10%), and (d) students was enthusiasm to learn, decreased from 75% in cycle I become cycle II 70% (turn 5%). The second, speaking skills studentsVIII.7 had increased from 73,3 in cycle Ibecome 80.22 in cycle II (up 6,92). So, it could seen in the aspect (a) wording was increased from 70,76 in cycle I become 87,5 in cycle II (up 16,74), (b) intonation was increased from 72,30 in cycle I become 78,33 in cycle II (up to 6,03), (c) volumes was increased from 76,92 in cycle Ibecome 80 in cycle II (up 3,08), (d) fluency skill was increased from 76,92 in cycle I become 78 in cycle II (up 1,08), (e) dictation skill was increased from 76,15 in cycle I become 88 in cycle II (up 11,85), (f) structure sentence skillwas increased from 80 in cycle I become 90 in cycle II (up 10), (g) systematicperceptive skill was 69,23 in cycle I become 80 in cycle II (up 10,77), (h) responsive skill was increased from 64,61 incycle Ibecome 60 in cycle II (up 4,61). Based on, the results research could be concluded thatusing cooperative learning model with Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) type could beincreasing students learning activities and speaking skills.
