PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN AKTIF TIPE THE POWER OF TWO PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS XI IPA SMAN 4 KOTA PARIAMAN

One of the causes of the low percentage of students who reach out the completeness mathematics learning is the lack motivation and activeness of students to following the mathematics learning process, Learning has been applied by teachers still do not involve students and teachers-centered, the consequently students learning result is unsatisfactory. To improve the situation, the researcher tried to do research with the title "Application of Active Learning Model Type The Power of Two on Mathematics Learning Grade XI IPA SMAN 4 Pariaman".This research was experimental. The population in this research is Grade XI IPA SMAN 4 Pariaman student’s the academic years 2015/2016. Sampling was done by random sampling techniques, XI IPA2 class as an experimental class and XI IPA1 class as a control class.
Based on the results of the final test data analysis of student learning, both samples classes were normally and homogeneous distributed. To test the hypothesis used t test.After processing the data obtained tarithmatics = 3.90 and ttable = 1.67 at 95% confidence level, so tarithmatics>ttable. Therefore, the hypothesis is accepted that the results of students mathematics learning with the application of active learning model types The Power of Two is better than the results of students' mathematics learning with conventional learning in class XI IPA SMAN 4 Pariaman.Based on the research, researcher expected to the mathematics teachers can apply the cooperative learning model type The Power of Two as one alternative to increase student’s mathematics learnig result.
