Abstract

Mathematics learning process at MTsN Panampuang Ampek Angkek still dominated by teacher while many students are not active. Generally, they just accepted what the teacher have explained. When teacher gave them chance to ask, no body of them asked about what teacher explained. It is difficult to know of student understand or not about material explained.The lack of studentsactivities in learning make students result was low. One of the efforts to solve the problems is applying cooperative type of snowball throwing along with the quiz. Based on data analysis found that the snowball throwing along with the quiz better than learn mathematics with using conventional learning at MTsN Panampuang Ampek Angkek.
