PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI DAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS NASKAH DRAMA MELALUI METODE EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING BAGI SISWA KELAS VIII.4 SMP N 26 PADANG
Abstrak
This research was motivated by the low motivation and learning outcomes in learning writing skill of student class VIII.4of SMP N 26 Padang. Porpose of this research were to describe increased motivation and writing skill script of drama skil through experiential learning method at SMP N 26 Padang. The theory used in this study were: (1) Hamalik (2012), Sardiman (2006), and Wena (2011) about motivation, (2) Semi (2009), Tarigan (2008) and Thahar (2009) about writing skill, (3) Hosnan (2014) about experiential learning method, (4) Arikunto (2009) about classroom action research. The types of this research is classroom action research that conducted in two cycle. Each cycles implemented in two meetings. Subject of this research was student of class VIII.4 at SMP N 26 Padang academic year 2015/2016 consist of 28 students. The collect of the data using observation sheet, writing test, and field recording. Based on the research result, it can be seen (1)average of the result by student’s motivation on frist cycles was 77% increased to 91% oin the second cycles, (2) The average results of student’s writing skill learned in the frist cycle of 69,4 and increased to 84,28 in the second cycle. Thus, the researcher concluded that application of experiential learning method could improve motivation and result of student’s learning outcome in writing script of drama.
