Abstrak

Abstract

The process of mathematics learning in class VIII students of SMP N 1 Mirror Beach less active and student learning outcomes has yet to reach KKM. Therefore, the researchers tried to use cooperative learning model type STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division).
This study was to determine the increase in activity and learning outcomes by using a model of Cooperative Learning STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) through Action Research (PTK). Conducted in two cycles. Data collection tool is the observation sheets and activity sheets final test cycle. Data analysis techniques used analysis of activity and learning outcomes.
Results of the study in the first cycle an average of 65.63% activity and the second cycle into 87.59%. In the first cycle are 59.38%) students completed and the second cycle reaches 78,125 25% were completed. Furthermore concluded that learning mathematics is done through model of Cooperative Learning STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) can increase the activity and student learning outcomes.
