Abstrak

Abstract

The background of this research is the learning still. Center to the teacher. There is no question and idea by student about subject is learning and learning outcomes of students still much below the minimum completeness criteria(KKM). To overcome the problem, then the learning of mathematics applied strategy Active Learning Types Team Quiz. The hypothesis of this study is the result of learning mathematics student learning to use active learning types Team Quiz better than using regular teaching students of class VIII SMP Kartika 1-7 Padang. Types of research is experimental research. Population in this research is all class VIII SMP Kartika 1-7 Padang in academic year 2015/2016. VIII3 as the experimental class and VIII5 as the control class.The student’s learning activity in experiment class are gotten some increase to the better. Based on the data of students mathematics learning in the classroom samples, hypothesis testing is thitung > t(0,95;58) is 3,41 > 1,671. It can be conduded that the learning outcomes of students learning mathematics applying active learning type Team Quiz better than mathematics learning outcomes of students who apply regular learning.
