PSYCHOLOGICAL NEEDS AND THEIR CORRELATION WITH RELIGIOUS VALUE OF THE MAIN CHARACTER IN ZIKIR BERKABUT CINTA NOVEL OF ANDARU WIRANATA’S MASTERPECE

Abstrak

This research limed to describe psychological needs description and it correlation with religious value of the main character in novel Zikir Berkabut Cinta of Andaru Wiranata’s. The theories used are opinion suggested by Atmazaki (2005) about literature, Jalaluddin (2007) about psychological needs, and Suryana (2003) about religious valuee. Type of this research was qualitative with descriptive method. Data analysis techniques done was: (a) determine the characters, (b) determine psychological needs of the main chareocter, (c) determine religious value, (d) interprete the correlation between  psychological needs end religious value of the main character, e) conclude results of analysis and interpretation. The research findings tell us that, first : There are 66 data of psychological needs of the main character, they are : (a) 22 love needs that are got from character Darma, Hendra, Juragan Karta, Emak, and Abah, (b) 10 data of safety needs that are got from character Mamak Haji Sobri, Emak, and Darma, (c) the need of self-esteem are about 6 data that are not got when she was trapped by bad lady, (d) the need of freedom are about 5 data that are got from character Darma, (e) the need of success are about 15 data which are described from the willingness of study at school and the success in work, and (f) the need of curiosity are about 10 data that are got from character Abah, Aziz, and Norma. Religious value of the main character are found about 32 data, they are: (a) 9 data of believes which is described from the believe in Allah, (b) Islamic rules are about 15 data that are described from the obedience and praying to Allah, and (c) attitude are about 8 data that described from the attitude to parents, husband, and other people. The third, the correlation between psychological needs and religious value is that if psychological needs are fulfilled, so the religious value will be good.
