PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV DENGAN MODEL WORD SQUARE PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPA DI SD NEGERI 34 AIR PACAH KECAMATAN KOTO TANGAH PADANG
Abstrak
This study aimed to describe the activity and the learning outcomes with the model Word Square on science teaching in primary schools 34 Air Pacah Padang. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) which is implemented in the second semester of the 2015/2016 academic year at SD Negeri 34 Air Pacah Padang. The research subject is the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 34 Padang Air Pacah totaling 36 students. The study consisted of two cycles of meetings were held three times each cycle. The procedure consisted of four stages: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The results showed an increase in the activity of the first cycle of students obtained an average percentage of students did express opinions experiment 48,5% and 52,7%. Based on the results of research conducted discovered that the average learning outcomes first cycle is 50,5 with learning completeness percentage is 25% and an increase in average yield learning cycle II was 80.7 with learning completeness percentage of 83,3%. The final conclusion is that learning science by using model Word Square can increase the activity and learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 34 Air Pacah Padang. The results are expected to be useful for teachers and readers in order to improve student learning outcomes in the classroom, while the students can improve learning and training activities to socialize with friends.
