Abstrak

This research is motivated by the low learning motivation and student learning outcomes in mathematics learning, and teachers tend to use methods of lecture and question and answer. The purpose of this study is to improve motivation and learning outcomes in class V SD Negeri 29 Ulak Karang Utara Padang by using the model of Team Assisted Individualization. Team Assisted Individualization is a process of learning in the form of a heterogeneous group in which the group serves as a place to learn and prepare for the test to be performed. This research is a classroom action research (PTK). The purpose of this study was to determine whether the use of models of Team Assisted Individualization can increase learning motivation and learning outcomes Mathematics students. This research was conducted in two cycles. The research instrument used in this study is the observation sheet activities of teachers, learning motivation questionnaire sheet, and achievement test. Based on the results of research conducted in class V SDN 29 Ulak Karang Utara Padang, the use of models Team Assisted Individualization proven to improve learning motivation and learning outcomes in Mathematics. It can be seen from the average student motivation can be increased from 54.84% in the first cycle to 77.42% in the second cycle (increase 22.58%) and the average learning outcomes increased from 58, 06% in the first cycle to 77, 42% in the second cycle (increase 19.36%). Based on this it can be said that the model of Team Assisted Individualization can increase learning motivation and learning outcomes Mathematics students.
