Abstrak

The study was motivated by the low activity and learning outcomes of fourth grade students in social studies learning. The research objective to describe the increase in activity and student learning outcomes in social studies learning with learning model Quiz Team. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research (PTK) is conducted in two cycles. Fourth grade students study the subject of as many as 24 people. The research instrument used is the observation sheet teacher activities, student activity observation sheets, observation sheets affective student assessment and student achievement test. The increased activity of students in asking 59.77% with a low category, increased to 79.94% in both categories. Learning activities of students in answering the question amounted to 52.50% with the low category, increased to 76.01% in both categories, the percentage of completeness cognitive achievement levels of understanding (C2) 48.30% of students with low category increased by 75.21% to both categories, and the percentage of students on the affective completeness collaboration capabilities (A2) amounting to 50.22% of students with low category increased by 78.26% in both categories. Learning by using the IPS Team Quiz learning model can improve the activity and student learning outcomes. Based on research that has been done, it is suggested to teachers in order to use Quiz Team learning model to improve the activity and student learning outcomes in social studies learning.
