PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN SISWA KELAS IV MELALUI MODEL PRACTICE REHEARSAL PAIRS DI SDN 16 SUDIRMAN KECAMATAN GUNUNG TULEH KABUPATEN PASAMAN BARAT

Abstrak

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes Indonesian students in grade fourth at SDN 16 Sudirman Kecamatan Gunung Tuleh Kabupaten Pasaman Barat. The problem solving  for the case is used Practice Rehearsal Pairs method, Istarani (2012:219). The purpose of this research to describe the improved reading comprehension grade IV by used model Practice Rehearsal Pairs. This research is a classrom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consists of two meetings. The subject of this research are 20 students  in grade fourth.  The research instrument used papers activities of teachers in cycle I at 73% and cylce II at 85,5%, based of the activity papaers discussion at cycle I 66,6% and cycle II at 82,45%. Based on the result of the study the average value of students mastery learning in cycle I reaches 56,25 with a percentage of 25% while the average value of students mastery learning in cycle II reaches 87,50 with a percentage of 90%. The result of this research can be concluded that an increase reading comprehension of students in cycle I to cycle 2. Researchers suggested that teachers can choose a model Practice Rehearsal Pairs in leraning to improve students reading skills.
