Abstrak

The purpose of this research was to describe the increase in description essay writing skills of the IV grade students through Example Non Example models at the 41 Kayu Jao Elementary School Solok District. The theory used in this research is writing theory stated by Mulyati (2014:2.24), and the Example Non Example models stated by Shoimin (2014:73). The type of this research was a class action research, which the subject is the IV grade students of 41 Kayu Jao Elementary School Solok District, totaling 13 students. The research was conducted in the second semester of the 2015/2016 academic year. The research instrument used was a teacher activity observation sheet, student writing test research sheet. The implementation of Indonesian lerning through Example Non Example models of the IV grade students went well. Based on the research, the results of the tes writing on the I cycle is 46,15% with an average 68,53, increase in the II cycle into 84,61% with an average 78,15. This means learning Indonesian through Example Non Example can improve the writing skills of the grade students of 41 Kayu Jao Elementary School Solok District. Based on the research, can be concluded that the Example Non Example models can improve the writing skills of the IV grade students of 41 Kayu Jao Elementary School Solok District.
