PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV
Abstrak
The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in the activity of collecting information and solving problems and cognitive achievement in learning science by using the model of Problem Based Learning in Elementary School fourth grade 15 Surau Tower Siteba Padang. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. Subjects of this study fourth grade students totaling 23 people. The instruments used were observation sheet teacher learning activities, student activity observation sheet and test sheet end of the cycle. The results showed an average score of activity of collecting information on the first cycle of 55,1%, increased in the second cycle of 85,1%, the activity of solving problems in the first cycle of 52,2%, increased in the second cycle of 85,1% , Average cognitive achievement of students at the end of the test the first cycle of 76.6 to 69.6% completeness, increased in the second cycle of 83.6 to 87.0% completeness. From this research, it was concluded that the activities and achievement of students in science learning can be enhanced with the model Problem Based Learning. Based on this study researchers suggest that teachers can use the model of Problem Based Learning to enhance the activity and student learning outcomes.
