The purpose of this study was to describe the activities of the learning process of learning activities of students in social studies using strategies Trading Place in fourth grade SDN 34 Air Pacah Tangah Koto subdistrict, Padang. This research is a classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings and a final exam at the end of the meeting cycle cycle. The subjects were students of class IV SDN Air Pacah Tangah Koto subdistrict, which numbered 20 people. The research instrument used is the observation of student activity sheets, observation sheets, activity sheets and teacher achievement test. Based on the results of the study, the average activity of students in the first cycle is 50% and increased in the second cycle to 81.25%, the increase of 31.25% and student learning outcomes first cycle with an average of 6.9, the second cycle 89, 5, an increase of 82.5. This means learning to use strategies IPS Trading Place can improve the learning activities of fourth grade students of SDN 34 Air Pacah Tangah Koto subdistrict. Based on these results, the researchers suggested that teachers can use Trading Strategies Place in learning to improve students' learning activities
