Abstrak

This classroom action research aims to increase the activity of the students asked, answered questions and express opinions, purpose of this study was to describe the increased activity of students in social studies learning model through Probing-Prompting Learning in Class V, research was conducted in the second semester of academic year 2015 / 2016. The research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research instrument is the observation sheet student activities, teacher activity observation sheet. Based on data analysis, the average activity of students in asking questions, answering questions and express opinions cycle I 28.84% increase to 59.61% in the second cycle. The average student learning outcomes with grades above KKM first cycle with an average of 70.96 increased to 83.26 in the second cycle. This means that the implementation of social studies learning by using model-Probing Prompting Learning can increase the activity of students as much as 28.2% and can improve student learning outcomes as much as 12.57. It can be concluded that the IPS study uses a model-Probing Prompting Learning in class V SDN 20 Alahan Panjang Solok can improve students' learning activities.
