This research was motivated by the lack of ability to write narrative in class IV SDN 39 Koto Baru Kubung Districks Solok Regency. The purpose of this study to describe the narrative esaay writing skills of students in Learning Indonesian with using model Picture and picture in class IV SDN 39 Koto Baru Kubung Districts Solok Regency. The kind of this research is a classroom action research. This study was conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle consisted of twice conspicuously and one final test cycle, this research subject in class IV student , which amounted to 26 people. Research instrument used were obervation sheet activiyies of teacher and students achievement test sheet. Mastery learning outcomes narrative essay writing skills of student in cycle I dan II. The pencentage of students writing skills obtained in cycle I as much as 65% with the average result of learning is 75 increased to 80%in cycle II with the average result of learnings. 82. This meanslearningto use Indonesian with using model Picture and Picture can improve the ability of students SDN 39 Koto Baru, Solok Regency. This it can be concluded that the Picture and Picture model learning can improve the student ability to writing narrative essay. Â ÂKeyword: Ability to write narrative essay, picture and picture
