Abstrak

The purpose of this study was to describe the participation and student learning outcomes in learning civics class IV.A through strategies Information Search at SDN 04 Kampung Olo. This research is a classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings and one final test cycle. The subjects were IV.A grade students of SDN 04 Kampung Olo, totaling 28 people. The research instrument used is the observation sheet student participation, teacher observation sheet activities, test students' achievements and the camera. Based on the results of the observation sheet student participation in answering the question in the first cycle of 41.06% increase in cycle II 66.07%, the students' participation in a discussion group on the first cycle increased 53.56% in the second cycle into 76.78%. Civics C1 level learning outcomes of students in the first cycle obtained average value is 71.07 to 53.57%, while the percentage of completeness in the second cycle obtained by the average value of 80.35 with 75% the percentage of completeness. Civics C2 level learning outcomes of students in the first cycle obtained by the average value of 63.57 by 53.57% whereas the percentage of completeness in the second cycle values obtained an average of 75 with a percentage of 82.14% completeness. Based on the research results, pesentase students who achieve mastery learning cycle I 53.57% and increased in the second cycle into 82.14%. This means learning civics through strategies Information Search can increase participation and student learning outcomes SDN 04 IV.A class Kampung Olo.
