HUBUNGAN KEBIASAAN MEMBACA MATERI BIOLOGI DENGAN HASIL BELAJAR BIOLOGI SISWA KELAS XI-IPA SMAN 5 PADANG
Abstrak
This study aims to determine the relationship between habits of reading biology of student in XI IPA to their biology learning out comesat SMA N 5 Padang. This is a descriptive study with 105 students of SMAN 5 Padang enrolled in the academic year 2015/2016 consists of five classes with a population of 144 students as sample. Sampling was done by random sampling techniqueusing the Krecick Morgan formula. For each class 21 students are obtained. Data was obtained by disseminated the questionnaire consists of 22 items. To knowing the student learning out comes, author take the first daily examination of student at second semester that get from the biology teacher. It show that the average of student outcomes is 71.1. The research show that there is positive or strong relation between habits of reading biology to student out comes that analyze with moment product coefficient formula is r = 0,881. Calculation of determinant coefficient show that relation between habits of reading biology to student out comes is 77,6. Based on hypothesis testing, value of thitung>ttabel (6,33> 2,367). Thus concluded that there is relation between habits of reading biology to student out comes in XI – IPA, SMA N 5 Padang extent 99 (α= 0,01).
