IMPROVING THE CLASS FIVE STUDENT’S WRITING ABILTY IN WRITING SUMMARY OF THE STORY BY USING COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED

Abstrak

Process of this thesis based on the result of the class five student’s writing ability at SDN 05 Ulakan that is low and based on the research, 8 student’s (38,09%) could pass, and student’s (61,91%) could not pass is learning writing ability in writing summary of the story by using Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) method at SDN 05 Ulakan. Theory which using on the research is (1) Theory of writing acquainted by Tarigan (1986), (2) Cooperative Learning Type Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition acquainted by Huda (2014), (3) Theory of writing summary acquainted by Nuruddin (2007). This research is Action Research. This research is Action Research with two cycles. The subyek is 21 student’s. They are 12 boys and 9 girls. Based on analysis of first activity , I got the percentage of their ability was 65,3%, and 94,2 % for second activity. Based on the finding of the data, the average of student’s ability was 73,6 in first activity. And the percentage of student’s who could pass is 61,9%. However the average of students was 87,7 and percentage was 80,9%. In conclussion, learning process in Indonesian Language subyek by using Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) method can improve the class five student’s writing ability in writting ability in writing summary of the story at SDN 05 Ulakan.
