PENGGUNAAN KALIMAT EFEKTIF PADA SPANDUK DI LINGKUNGAN UNIVERSITAS BUNG HATTA

ABSTRACT
This study have a purpose to describe the use of effective sentence, through the analysis of a effectiveness requirements of the sentence on the banners at Bung Hatta University. This research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The theory used is Lamuddin Finoza (2008) Indonesian composition about effectiveness requirement sentence suggested by Moleong (2010). Descriptive method is data collected in the form of words, image not figure object of this study is the sentences contained in the banner at Bung Hatta University include: (1) First Campus in Sumatra street Ulak Karang Padang, (2) Second Campus in By Pass Padang and (3) third campus in Gajah Mada street No. 19 Nanggalo. The results of the analysis found that there are still contains errors in the effective sentence review of aspects: (1) Unity, this is because the use of the subject that is not clearly, found 8 errors, (2) cohesiveness, caused by confusion and sentence structure are not clearly, found 6 errors, (3) Parallels, caused there is no parallel in the sentence elements, found four errors, (4) Meaning firmness, this is because of the absence of particles giving affirmation, confirmation, or centralizing in one sentence element found 16 errors, (5) Effectiveness words, caused the use of wasted words found 9 errors, (6) Logic, this is because the influence of foreign languages and regional languages in the sentence found 29 errors. The results of the analysis concluded that there are some errors in the effective sentenceon a banner at the Bung Hatta University. This is caused: (1) the writer of the banners did not able to master how to write sentences that suitable with the elements of the sentence terms, (2) The writer not careful in the process of editing, so the effective use of the sentence in the banner is not suitable with the effective sentence Hatta University.
