GAYA BAHASA DAN KAITANNYA DENGAN LATAR DAN PENOKOHAN DALAM NOVEL TUHAN MAAF ENGKAU KUMADU KARYA AGUK IRAWAN MN

Abstrak

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research was to describe the relationship of language style with setting and characteristics in novel of Tuhan Maaf Engkau Kumadu author by Aguk Irawan MN. The researcher used the theory about the literature, according to Fananie (2002), Armazaki (2007), Ahadiat (2007), Semi (2008), Keraf (2009), Nurgiyantoro (2010), Rokmansyah (2014). The design of this research is descriptive with qualitative research.  The object of this research is the relationship of language style with setting and characteristics in novel of Tuhan Maaf Engkau Kumadu author by Aguk Irawan MN. Based on data analysis, it is concluded that there are 118 data language style in novel of Tuhan Maaf Engkau Kumadu author by Aguk Irawan MN : (1) litotes language style about 8 data, (2) Paradoks language stle about 1 data, (3) hyperbole language stle about 83 data, (4) persamaan language style about 10 data, (5) personification language style about 9 data, (6) alusi language style about 3 data, (7) metaphore language style about 3 data. There is relationship of language style with setting and characteristics in novel of Tuhan Maaf Engkau  Kumadu author by Aguk Irawan MN, from the setting in novel of Tuhan Maaf Engkau Kumadu author by Aguk Irawan MN, it is known about the relationship of behavior and nature of the characters. Finally, setting and characteristics are not separated with the other literature.
