To analyze, the data the researcher used the Person Product Moment Formula and Double Correlation Formula.
After analyzing the data, the researcher found that students’ interest and reading habit was classified as moderate, and reading comprehension of narrative text was also moderate. In addition, she found that the value of coefficient correlation between students interest and reading comprehension of narrative text was .42 and r-table was .361(α 0.05, (df)n-2), and the value of cooeficient correlation between reading habit and reading comprehension of narrative text was.02 and r-table was .361 (α 0.05, (df)n-2). She found that the value of coefficient of three variables was 3.821 and f- table was 3.35 (α 0.05) and (df) n-k-1 (27)(see appendix 31). Learning from the result, it can be concluded there was a significant correlation between students’ interest and reading habit toward their reading comprehension of narrative text of the third year students English Department of Bung Hatta University.
