Abstrak

This research is motivated by the low activity and learning outcomes of students during the learning process IPS. The purpose of research is to describe and explain the process increased activity and student learning outcomes through the implementation of the strategy of Making Notes Guided. This research is a classroom action research. Subjects were fourth grade students of SD Negeri No. 08 Mandeh South Coastal District, which has 21 people with social and economic backgrounds are different. This study consisted of two cycles in which each cycle consisted of three meetings ie twice to discuss the matter and one final test. Instruments in this study is the observation sheet teacher, student observation sheet, and achievement test. The results showed an increase in activity and student learning outcomes through the implementation of the strategy of Making Notes Guided. The percentage of completeness Cycle 1 was 57.14% with an average of 71.67, and the percentage of completeness cycle 2 was 95.24% with an average of 86.43. The percentage of students who wrote the description Activities teachers into the teaching material is 68.42% and 76.19% in cycle 1 and increased to 95% and 95.24% in cycle 2. The percentage of students who make exercise activity at the end of the learning is 73.68 % and 76.19% in cycle 1 and increasing to 100% in cycle 2.  Keywords: Activities, IPS Learning Outcomes and strategies Making Notes Guided.
