ABSTRACT

The background of this study by interested researchers to poetry roar Mixed Dust Anwar's work, especially the aspects of the problem of images expressed by the author through the content of the words. This poem is very good for the reader to guide the life of the community. This study aimed to describe the images used in the collection of poems "Mixed roar of Dust" by Anwar. theory used is the theory advanced by Rachmat Djoko Pradopo imagery covering theory and Semi tentangt stilistika understanding. type of research is qualitative descriptive method. Based on the results of research on the collection of poems "Roar Mixed Dust" Anwar's work amounted to 77 images, namely: vision images totaling 27 images 11 hearing, touching 15 images, olfactory images 1, 3 foretaste imagery and motion imagery in poetry Roar 20. Scene Mixed Dust Anwar described the work of which the theme of humanity, social justice themes, religious themes, the theme of love, and the theme of the life of society. Thus, it can be concluded that the poem in a collection of poems roar Mixed Dust Anwar's work more use of visual imagery and themes with the aim of the poet wants to describe to the reader in order to be able to feel and see what the poet through his work.
