Abstrak

ABSTRACT

 

This study aims to find differences in learning outcomes of students at SMAN 7 Padang in writing text scientific exposition by learning to use strategies of inquiry. The theory used in this research is the theory advanced by Ridwan Abdullah Sani and Sudjana. This research is a quantitative experimental method. The population of this research is SMA N 7 Padang. To take samples carried out by random sampling (random system). Class X MIPA 2 as an experimental class and class X MIPA 4 as the control class. This research data is the result of learning to write text exposition class X SMAN 7 Padang. Data analysis, hypothesis test using t-test formula at the level of 0.05. Based on hypothesis testing there are differences in the ability to write text exposition thitung students with greater than ttable 4.415. Overall it can be concluded that learning scientific inquiry using strategies affect the ability of students to write text exposition. This is evidenced from the text exposition of students in the experimental class with an average value of 83, higher than the control class with an average value of 75.
