Abstrak

This research is motivated by the low activity and learning outcomes of fourth grade students in learning civics. When learning is still a lot of students who are not actively in group discussions. The purpose of this study was to decrypt the increased activity of the group discussions, learning outcomes of students' cognitive and affective student learning outcomes. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The subject of the study is the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 11 Kurao Pagang totaling 22 people. Based on the analysis group discussion activity observation sheet of students obtained an average cycle I observed was 78.17 with a percentage of 78.17% completeness. While on the second cycle average gained 90.47 with the percentage of 90.47% completeness. On the affective outcomes of students discipline and responsibility to the average obtained in the first cycle is 77.90. While on the second cycle the average obtained is 86.10. Furthermore, cognitive learning outcomes of students obtained an average in the first cycle was 70.44, with 58.82%, while the percentage of completeness in the second cycle average cognitive achievement of students is 85.71 to 85.71% the percentage of completeness. From these results it can be concluded that learning Civics using Bamboo Dance can increase the activity and student learning outcomes. From these results, the authors suggested that teachers can use Bamboo Dance method to enhance the activity and student learning outcomes.
