Abstract

 

This research is motivated by the lack of class IV student learning outcomes in social studies lesson in SDN 02 Terandam Padang. The purpose of this study  was1)to describe the learning outcome of cognitive level of understanding (aspects of thinking skills) of IV graders in social studies learning model through Time Token at SDN 02 Terandam Kecamatan Padang Timur. 2)to describe the learning outcome affective domain (discipline and expression) of IV grade students in social studies learning model through Time Token at SDN 02 Terandam Kecamatan Padang Timur. Kind of research is class act. The research was conducted in 2 cycles, each cyle 2 meetings and 1 final test exam cyle. The research subjects were the IV grade students of SDN 02 Terandam Kecamatan Padang Timur. Research instruments used were sheets og cognitive achievement of students, teacher observation sheet activities, affective students observation sheet, and test student learning outcomes. Based on test results obtained average student learning outcomes in the cognitive aspects of cyle I at 67,75 with 60% mastery learning students, then increase in cyle II with an average rating 90% mastery learning student. Students learning outcomes in the aspect  of discipline in cyle I gained an average value of 48,32 and the incrasein cyle II with an average value of 80,82. Student learning outcomes in the affective aspect of expression in cyle I gained an acerage of 69,19 and the increase in cyle II wiht an average score of 74,16. This shows that learning through the model Time Token IPS can improve learning outcomes of IV grade students of SDN 02 Terandam Kecamatan Padang Timur. Based on the results of this study reseachers suggest that teachers can apply the mode Time Token on leaning IPS.
