Abstrak

The study motivated by the lack of oral activity and conduct experiments fifth grade students in learning science and the low level of understanding of the cognitive learning (C2) in SD Negeri 20 Kurao Pagang Padang. The research objective to describe the increasevin oral activity and the activity and activity of the experiment, as well as cognitive learning outcoments in learning science learning model Practice Rehearsal Pairs in class V SD Negeri 20 Kurao Pagang Padang. This type of research is classroom action research conducted two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings and one final exam cycle. Fifth grade student study subjects totaling 24 people. The instrumen used were observation sheet teacher learning activities, student activity observation sheet and test sheet end of the cycle. The result showed an increase in activity and student learning  outcomes in learning science by using model Practice Rehearsal Pairs. An increase in oral activity of students reached 37,49% with 79,16% with a great many criteria. Activities conducted experiments increased from 45,83% to 83,33% with the criteria aplenty. Mastery learning students on the cognitive 7,145% with good criterion reached 7,75% by the criteria very well. It was concluded that the activity and student learning outcoments in llearning science can by using model Practice Rehearsal Pairs. Based on this study, the researhers suggested that teachers can use Practice Rehearsal Pairs learning model to enhance the activity and student learning outcomes.
