Abstract

 

The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in students 'creativity in making concept maps, students' creativity in solving problems and learning outcomes of fourth grade students in social studies learning through strategy Environment Science Technology and Society. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The research subjects fourth grade students of 31 people. The research instrument used observation sheet teachers' activities, observation sheets kreativitivitas and student learning outcomes. Based on the observation sheet of students 'creativity in creating concept maps during the learning process cycle I obtained an average of 25.80 classical and the second cycle is 80.64, students' creativity in solving problems in the first cycle was 19.35 and the second cycle 74, 19 and the results of cognitive learning (C1 and C2) in the first cycle was 35.48 and increased in the second cycle with an average of 90.32. So learning strategies IPS through Environment Science Technology and Society can enhance the creativity and student learning outcomes. From the research, it is recommended that teachers can use strategies Environment Science Technology and Society to promote creativity and student learning outcomes in social studies learning
