Abstrak

This research is motivated by the lack of students' skills in reading and understanding the contents of the low student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine whether the use of the model Learning Starts With A Question can improve reading comprehension skills and student learning outcomes in learning Indonesian. Reading Comprehension is a type of reading that aims to understand the standards and norms of literary, reviews, papers, as well as patterns of fiction. This research is a classroom action research with research subjects, namely the fourth grade students of SDN 39 Kamang Sijunjung totaling 27 people. The instrument of this study was the observation sheets teachers 'implementation of the learning process, the observation sheet reading skills and test students' understanding of student learning outcomes. Based on the observation sheet of students 'reading comprehension skills obtained that the average results of the research cycle I with percentage ability to discuss, namely the first cycle of 31.5 while in the second cycle 72, responding to the answers in the first cycle 37 while in the second cycle 72, and the students' reading comprehension skills I cycle 37 while in the second cycle 72. the results of students in the first cycle of 60 while in the second cycle 79. From the increase of the research in the first cycle and the second cycle this means a target of achieving successful learning in this study and the implementation of learning Indonesian model learning Starts with A Question progressing well. It can be concluded that the ability to discuss and respond to the answers, reading comprehension skills and student learning outcomes in learning Indonesian is increased through a model Learning Starts With A Question.
