Abstrak

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the cultural values on Novel Safiyya Telaga Biru covered by Bahaa’ Taher includes the cultural values, such as (1) The nature of human life, (2) The nature of human work, (3) The nature of human with time, (4) The nature of human with natural, (5) The nature of human relationship with each other, contained on Novel Safiyya Telaga Biru covered by Bahaa’ Taher. The theory that used in this research about the cultural values that proposed by, Abdurrahman (2012). This research is qualitative research with descriptive method that proposed by Moleong (2010). Collecting data used analysis technique data such as (1) Reading and understanding Novel Safiyya that overall, (2) Analyzing all of data that has been classified in accordance with human nature, (3) Summarizing all of analysis data includes the cultural values on Novel Safiyya Telaga Biru that found the result of research such as the nature of human life obtained 15 of data, consists of bad life obtained 9 of data, a good life 4 of data, and bad life but try be better obtained 2 of data. The nature of human work obtained 1 of data, the nature of human life in space and time that have obtained 9 of data, consists of 4 data in this time, 3 data in the past, and 3 data in future. The nature of human with natural obtained 1 of data, human with nature obtained 1 of data. The nature of human relationship with each other obtained 10 of data. Human as social beings obtained 8 of data and the high-strength individualism assess themselves obtained 2 of data. Therefore, it can summarize this novel has many values of culture and make the society become open-minded about the customs that many changes happened, a cynical look of society and about the problem in family life. This novel teaches about life struggle and patience.
