PENINGKATAN MINAT DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS VC DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE WORD SQUARE DI SDN 48 KURANJI PADANG
Abstrak
This research is motivated by the lack of interest and student learning outcomes in learning science, impact on the value of the first semester exams MID low. The researchers used a model of learning Word Square to increase students' interest in aspects of freedom of expression, group discussions, presentations, and student learning outcomes cognitive level of understanding. The purpose of this research is to increase the interest and learning outcomes VC grade science students at SDN 48 Kuranji Padang. This type of research is classroom action research in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. The subject of research is the VC grade students of SDN 48 Kuranji Padang totaling 23 people. The research instrument is the observation sheet activities of teacher, student interest observation sheet, sheet questionnaire student interest and achievement test. The results of the analysis of student interest observed by the observer in the cycle I and II obtained by percentage are: interest of the students expressed the opinion first cycle amounted to 30.43% increase in cycle II 71.73%; student interest group discussions first cycle amounted to 52.16% increase in cycle II 82.60%; student interest in a presentation at the first cycle 32.60% increase in cycle II 73.91%. While interest through a questionnaire to students in cycle I and II obtained as follows: the first cycle of interest expression 17.39% increase in cycle II 95.65%; student interest group discussions first cycle increased 34.78% in the second cycle of 100%; student interest in a presentation at the first cycle increased 47.82% in the second cycle of 100%. The average value of student learning outcomes cycle I 74.56 89.56 increase in cycle II. So this study concluded that learning science with a model Word Square can increase interest and student learning outcomes. Based on the results of the study suggested that teachers can use Word Square learning models to encourage and increase student learning outcomes.
