Abstrak

ABSTRACT

 

This research is motivated by the fact that the low activity of learning to read grade II in SD Negeri 3 Kecamatan Kamang Baru Sijunjung. In the Indonesian language learning, especially in learning to read, often used the lecture method so that learning is not considered challenging. The research objective was to determine the planning, execution, observation and student learning outcomes in teaching and learning in class II SD N 3 District of Kamang New Sijunjung theory used is the model Talking Stick according Istarani (2011), while a reading using theory dikemukkan by Farida Rahim (2011). This research is a classroom action research conducted in this study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of 2 meetings (including one meeting for a retrial). The subject of this research was grade II SD N 3 Kecamatan Kamang Baru Sijunjung. Amounting to 22 people. Research instrument used in this study is the observation sheet teacher activity, student activity sheets and student worksheet. Based on the results of research carried out showed that the results of the analysis of teacher activity observation sheet in the first cycle is 70%, on the second cycle increased to 82.5%. Student activity observation sheet obtained percentage of 68.9%, while in the second cycle increased to 78.03%. From the results obtained it can be concluded that learning Indonesian talking stick through the learning model can improve the activity and results of students of class II SD N 3 Kecamatan Kamang Baru Sijunjung.
