TRADISI MANGAKU INDUAK DAN MANIMBANG SALAH DALAM PERKAWINAN DI NAGARI TARATAK BARU KECAMATAN TANJUNG GADANG KABUPATEN SIJUNJUNG

Abstrak

The research was motivated people who tend to make manimbang salah tradition than mangaku induak tradition. We conducted this study to determine the implementation process of the traditions, meanings and values contained in the tradition, how the public perception of tradition and the impact of these traditions on social relations community Taratak Baruvillage.The research is a qualitative descriptive method. Selection of informants was done by using purposive sampling. This type of data consists of primary data and secondary data, collected through observation and interviews. Test the validity of the data using triangulation. Data analysis techniques by means of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion.The results of the study describes the implementation of the tradition mangaku induak and Manimbang salah in a marriage in Taratak Baru village consisting of deliberation that includes negotiation and implementation. Meaning contained in such traditions as a form of protection for women who married Taratak Baru villages with village communities in addition to residents of Taratak Baru. The values contained in this tradition include the value of family, togetherness, silaturrahmi and responsibilities. On the implementation of this tradition, the public has a different perception. In addition, also have an impact on social relations.
