PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN TUTOR SEBAYA PADA SISWA TEKNIK KOMPUTER JARINGAN (TKJ) SMK MUHAMMADIYAH 1 PADANG

Abstrak

The aim of this research is to investigate the student learning outcomes by using Peer Tutor learning model is better than the usual learning.  After the researchers observed in the subject TKJ at SMK 1 Muhammadiyah Padang, there are many problems. For example, the teaching and learning process still using conventional methods, such as more teachers dictate the subject matter to students.  The conventional methods make the spirit of the student was reduced and the student learning outcomes on the subjects of computer assembly was decreased. It can be finding by the average value of student daily test class X TKJ at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang on academic year 2015/2016. Obviously, the hypothesis of this study is the student learning outcomes in TKJ subject at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang by applying the Peer Tutor model better than conventional learning. The researcher use experimental research as the kind of this study. The population of this research is all class X in TKJ subject at  SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang, which consists of three classes, sampling random sampling, for three terms from populations with normal distribution, and variations homogeneous for the same average, so that, the researchers chose the class XB in TKJ subject  as the experimental class and class XA as the control class. Hypothesis testing is done by using the average difference at the level of α = 0.05. From the second table, the values obtained when the same variance was 2.0 that is compared with T table, because the test one hand, the T count is in the region of rejection h1. If the researcher using a Prob (Sign), it must be divided by 2, 0.08 / 2 = 0.04, it is smaller than 0.05, then h0 rejected. In conclusion, Peer Tutors model is better than the usual learning mode in class X at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang.
