Abstrak

This research is motivated lack of speaking skills of students in learning Indonesian first grade students of SDN 05 Patamuan Padang Pariaman district. The purpose of this study to describe the increase in grade 1 students' speaking skills in learning Indonesian Tourism and Environment themes through the medium of drawing the series in SDN 05 Patamuan Padang Pariaman district. Jenias this research is classroom action research conducted by the participants. Subjects of this study first grade students of SDN 05 Patamuan Padang Pariaman district. The research instrument used observation sheet sheet activities of teachers and students' speaking skills. Based on the results of data analysis found that student learning outcomes in students' speaking skills by using a series of media has increased. It can be seen from the results of student learning in the first cycle with average gained 71.18 which later increased in the second cycle into 78.81, from both cycles gained an average of 74.99, the percentage of student learning outcomes in cycles I 7.11% increase to 7.88% in the second cycle. It can be concluded that the use of media series on learning can improve student learning outcomes in speaking skills in learning Indonesian. The average teacher activity increased from the first cycle and the second cycle, the first cycle where the average activity of 62.5% increased to 87.5% large increase is as much as 25%. It can be concluded that the students' speaking skills class 1 can be improved through the use of media image series in learning Indonesian in SDN 05 Patamuan Padang Pariaman.
