Abstrak

Learning that takes monotone, and dominated by the teacher to make students less interaction and often tedious, so the effect on the learning outcomes of students of class VII SMPN 3 Karam Pulau Padang. The average results of studying biology away from the KKM, one of the efforts that teachers can do to improve student learning outcomes is by presenting learning methods vary according to the characteristics of the material. Among the methods that can foster the spirit of the students in learning is a method of charades. Learning by using charades can improve student learning outcomes for the learning method is each member of the group had the opportunity to give their contribution in answering questions with answers that have been provided by the teacher, so students are more active in learning and not get bored. This study aims to determine students' learning outcomes with penerapam biology methods charades in class VII SMPN 3 Karam Pulau Padang. Type of research is experimental design with randomized control group posttest-only design. The population in this study were all students of class VII SMPN 3 second semester Karam Pulau Padang which consists of three classes. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. Then conducted the draw to determine the experimental class and control class, and eventually obtained an experimental class is a class VIIa and control class is the class VIIB. Student learning outcomes with the adoption of charades (68.52) is better than the usual learning outcomes with teaching (60.45). Hypothesis test results obtained thitung> ttabel where 3,884> 2,00 so the hypothesis in this study is accepted and H0 rejected H1. There is a positive relationship charades application methods on learning outcomes biology class VII SMPN 3 Karam Pulau Padang. The results of the experimental class affective ratings (71) higher than the control group (58.7). It can be concluded that the application of the method of charades can improve learning outcomes biology class VII SMPN 3 Karam Pulau Padang.
